From my perspective, it's among the most sober and reasoned commentary I've read on the current mess. Unfortunately, it seems like a good number of people now in positions of power and influence in the West (not to mention much of the general populace) grew up on a steady diet of LOtR and Star Wars and didn't intellectually mature much beyond that level of framing reality.
