Buona Pasqua in ritardo. Wanted to return to this post, as I thought it made a most interesting point about the ashes placed over the "third eye." I'd noticed that, during the application of Holy Water, this also seems to be how the water is applied to infants, as well. Do you have any further thoughts on this? Is such a rite done to "activate" the "eye," or perhaps to purify it? Both? Something else?
