Interestingly I have a friend who fits the effeminate gay son of the hard nosed police officer example down to a tee— I hadn’t realized it was a cliche. The druid who doesn’t connect with nature isn’t quite me but it’s close enough that it feels like a palpable hit, touché and nicely done.

Is it for instance that the “sovereign” in oneself distinguishes among competing aspirational visions of themselves and settles on one to aim for, and the “general” is the part that gets down to brass tacks to make it actually happen?
