Thanks for your response! Honestly, it sounds like the Siren you experienced was far more dangerous & competent than the one I encountered and I'm so glad your reason prevailed! Part of what made my situation so traumatic was I had to take charge of the entire situation or else other people would have gotten hurt, and as an Aquarius the Sun in my Chart is extremely weak and so that sort of solar activity is really painful to me. Having dealt with a lot of nature spirits my hackles were up from the beginning, and I felt like I had to play babysitter to people who were a lot less competent on the inner side of things than they pretended to be. So the spirit was just one part of the equation for me, there was also this involved social aspect, and it was the involved social portion that made the thing hard. Had I been alone I would have never have ventured to the river.

I totally get that feeling of the wrongness of the spiritual tone of the internet. It's certainly trashier --- in the full sense of the word! --- than malevolent nature spirits!
