Thanks for this, Steve! Part of what makes me so sad about the current political state of the nation --- which looks increasingly like things may go kinetic in the months --- is that I can't help myself, I perceive my political enemies as just as beautiful as my political allies. Seriously, I put on some music --- https://soundcloud.com/andrea-inghisciano/palestrina-rognoni-vestiva-i-colli --- and I start to involuntarily see montages of the beautiful souls of my political enemies, their hopes and dreams just as glittering and gorgeous as mine shimmering on the horizon, any my eyes fill with tears and I feel full of love.
It saddens me that people can't see the divine beauty around us all, that we participate in and reflect inward and outward! We all have this portion of divinity within us! We all have wings growing ever so slowly!
For this reason, on a personal level I don't feel that I have political enemies, but there are many people on every point of the political spectrum who I can't engage in reasoned conversation with...
