I admire your abstention. I held off getting a phone as long as I could, but then as soon as you have it, you find ever more things you need it for.
I have found that the farther away I get from one of the hive-cities, the less inclined I naturally am to look at the thing. When we drove across the country 3 summers ago, I stopped looking at my phone once we got past the mountains east of Los Angeles. The only time during the whole trip I felt strongly drawn to it again was in Flagstaff, which was also, of every city we passed through, the one most committed to the George Floyd Revolution. I lost interest again east of Flagstaff, but then felt glued to the thing after we arrived in Philadelphia.
I really think they interest with the subtle levels of being, particularly the region at the border of the astral and the physical worlds, in very weird ways.
