Believe me, I get it. When I first started studying Golden Dawn magic I was horrified when I found out I'd have to go invoking angels, which I associated with either saccharine '90s TV shows or else the fat little babies in Renaissance artwork. It was only out of desperation that I proceeded anyway, and found out that they are, of course, neither of those things.
