btw, those students, afaict, ended up at big Wall St firms, and/or in the DC swamp.

they also did not provide insightful essays on ancient texts for free to the world ;)

speaking of ancient culture, this showed up in my reading list today:

"The Greeks of Hellenistic Alexandria noted that this season of the year was associated with Nemesis, the goddess of equilibrium — we tend to think of her as a deity of retribution against evil deeds, but the Greeks saw her as a spirit that also presided over the redress of inordinate good fortune, as well — it’s not just that all evil deeds are punished, it’s that too much good luck must be balanced out as well."
